Our
bright and colorful children’s room contains
materials for children or all ages, from newborn babies
to teens. We have board books, picture books, videos
and books with tapes for the younger children. Our
collection includes beginning reading books for the
newest readers, Red Clover books and easier chapter
books for those just learning developing their skills.
Our juvenile reading
section contains humorous and historical fiction,
adventures and mysteries, as well as biographies.
We have the Dorothy Canfield Fisher collection, the
Newbery winners and the works of local authors.
The non-fiction section
of the Children’s Room contains reference books
from the World Book Encyclopedia to the Guinness Book
of World Records plus online resources and assistance.
Magazines include American Girl and Cricket.
The Teen Area includes
GreemH Book Award titles as well as popular fiction
and topical non-fiction. The magazines include Transworld
Snowboarding, Motocrosss, Varsity and Cosmo Girl.
Our audio book section
includes cassette tapes and compact discs. Many families
listen to these books on tape or CDs together especially
on long car trips.
A special parenting section
has been established to help facilitate parenting
and includes materials which deal with such issues
as the emotional and cognitive needs of children,
adoption, divorce and family activities.
There is something for all, come in, relax and enjoy
and start your child on a lifelong love of library
