Accessible Services at the Library

Building Accessibility

  • Step free access via a ramp at the main entrance

  • Elevator access to the second floor, including program space, meeting rooms, a quiet work room, and our ongoing book sale

  • Restroom on the ground floor with a changing table

  • Seating available throughout the library

We recognize that our historic building has limitations, and we continue working toward improved accessibility as resources allow.

On Site Accessible Resources

Large Print Books
We maintain a large print collection at the library and also host a rotating large print collection from the Vermont Department of Libraries that changes approximately every three months. This allows us to offer a wider selection of titles over time.

Audiobooks
A limited physical audiobook collection is available at the library. Additional audiobooks can often be requested through Interlibrary Loan.

Technology and Digital Support
Staff are available to help patrons use library computers, adjust accessibility settings on devices, and navigate digital resources. One on one technology help can be scheduled as needed.
