Community Art Gallery

The Greensboro Free Library features a rotating gallery that highlights the work of local and regional artists. We are proud to offer space where creative work can be shared, viewed, and experienced by the community.

Exhibits typically change monthly and include a wide range of media, from painting and photography to fiber art and mixed media. The gallery is free and open to the public during regular library hours. Many works are available for purchase, and a portion of sales helps support library programs and services.

Mary Young - Notions and Nature

Exhibit Dates: Month of March

The Greensboro Free Library is pleased to welcome Mary Young as our March exhibiting artist.

Notions and Nature reflects Mary’s lifelong connection to creativity and the natural world. Her recent acrylic paintings explore color, texture, and layered process, drawing inspiration from gardens, landscape, and lived experience.

Art has long been woven through Mary’s life, from early drawings to years of homesteading in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom and a career as a psychotherapist encouraging expression through art. In recent years, she has returned to painting with renewed freedom and experimentation, creating vibrant, textured works full of movement and possibility.
