The Greensboro Free Library offers a range of technology and practical services to support everyday needs, learning, and connection. Whether you’re printing a document, using a computer, or looking for help with a device, library staff are happy to assist.

Services are available during open hours and are intended for public use.

Technology & Services

Computers and Internet

The library provides free public access to computers and WiFi.
  • Public computers available (1 Mac and 2 Windows based)
  • Free WiFi throughout the building and parking lot
  • Staff assistance available for basic questions
  • Use of public computers is guided by our Computer Use Policy.

Printing, Scanning, and Faxing

We offer printing and basic document services during open hours.

  • Black and white printing by donation (suggested 15¢ per page)

  • Color printing by donation (suggested 40¢ per page)

  • Scanning available

  • Fax services available

Staff can help with basic printing and scanning questions.


Meeting and Presentation Service

Our meeting space includes technology to support gatherings, presentations, and hybrid meetings.

Available equipment includes:

  • Large screen TV

  • OWL meeting camera

  • Projector

Makerspace

The library’s Makerspace is a creative, hands on space geared toward children and families. It is available any time the library is open.

Available materials may include:

  • Cardboard and craft supplies

  • Fabric pieces

  • Hot glue

  • Assorted creative materials and tools

  • Outdoor space available including sandbox, picnic table, and limited seating.

The Makerspace encourages exploration, creativity, and play. Some supplies may vary depending on availability.

Need help with technology or a particular digital resource? Contact the library staff to schedule an appointment. We are happy to walk you through basic tech questions, ranging from copying a document to signing up for an email address. While staff are knowledgeable in many areas, we may not be able to answer all questions.
