Ikebana-Inspired Upcycled Floral Art Workshop
Wednesday, May 21 at 5:00 pm
Greensboro Free Library

Join exhibiting artist Marger Cecilia Villamizar for a hands-on workshop exploring Ikebana-inspired floral art using foraged, natural, and upcycled materials.

Ikebana is a Japanese style of flower arranging that emphasizes simplicity, balance, natural forms, and thoughtful placement. This workshop will take a flexible and creative approach, using branches, leaves, flowers, and found materials to create unique arrangements with intention and care.

Marger will provide a variety of materials for participants to work with and bring home. Participants are also encouraged to bring some of their own materials if they would like, such as branches, dried plants, flowers, seed pods, fabric, or other natural objects.

This workshop is connected to Marger’s month-long exhibition currently on view at the library through June 2.

Registration is required. Space is limited to 10 participants.
