February Newsletter

Greensboro Free Library- February Newsletter

A good book doesn’t fix winter, but it can make it a little lighter.

February can feel long, and this time of year it’s nice to have something that lifts the mood and breaks up the days. That’s part of what we love about the library — a place to browse, connect, and sometimes just find something that makes you laugh.

Community Book Board

A Book That Made You Laugh

We’re starting a simple community book board at the library and would love your help.

This month’s theme is A Book That Made You Laugh: something light, funny, or just enjoyable to spend time with during winter days.

You can add your suggestion on the board at the library, or share it through this short form:
[Google Form link]

We’ll be using these recommendations to create displays and reading lists, and to help guide future programming and events.

A Look Ahead

Community Dinner — Thursday, March 13 at 5:30 PM
Our annual March dinner is coming up. Traditionally a chili supper, this year we’re expanding the menu to include comfort foods — a simple way to warm up together as winter starts to loosen its grip. More details coming soon.

We’ll also be continuing some behind-the-scenes improvements this month, including painting, electrical updates, and the installation of a new battery backup system. We’ll do our best to keep disruptions to a minimum.

Thank you, as always, for supporting the library — by visiting, volunteering, donating, and helping keep this space active and welcoming.
