Community Comfort Food and Chili Dinner
Friday, March 13 | 5:00 to 6:30 pm
Fellowship Hall at Greensboro United Church
Free to attend | Donations welcome
There are no March doldrums here. Our annual Community Comfort Food and Chili Dinner is one of the Greensboro Free Library’s most cherished gatherings, and we hope you will join us.
This evening is both a fundraiser and a celebration of community. Proceeds support the library’s programs, collections, and services, helping us continue to serve readers, learners, and neighbors of all ages.
Alongside our classic meat and vegetarian chili, we are expanding the table this year to include comfort food favorites of all kinds. Cornbread, casseroles, soups, mac and cheese, and desserts are all welcome. We look forward to seeing what our talented local cooks bring to share.
Takeout will be available for those who prefer to enjoy dinner at home.
There are many ways to participate:
• Bring a dish to share
• Volunteer to help with setup, serving, or cleanup
• Join us for a warm meal and good company
A sign up sheet is available at the library. You may also call or email to register a dish or volunteer.
These gatherings remind us that the library is more than a building filled with books. It is a place where neighbors connect, traditions continue, and support for shared resources grows stronger each year.
We are grateful for every pot stirred, every dessert baked, and every person who takes a seat at the table.
We hope to see you on March 13.
