The Bees of Vermont
Join Spencer Hardy of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies for an engaging program on the fascinating world of Vermont’s native bees. Vermont is home to roughly 350 species of wild bees, each with its own role in our local ecosystems.
This program will explore the natural history, identification, and conservation of Vermont’s bees, as well as their relationship with the European honey bee, the only honey-producing bee species in the United States.
Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of these important pollinators and small actions we can all take to make our communities more bee friendly.
