Small claims. Divorce paperwork. Relief from Abuse orders. Fee waivers.
For many people, the most difficult part of navigating the court system is not the form itself. It is knowing where to begin.
On Thursday, March 5, Pamela Cartier, law librarian from Vermont Law and Graduate School, will visit the Greensboro Free Library to introduce the free tools available to Vermonters through the Community Legal Information Center.
These guided online tools walk users step by step through common civil court processes and generate the correct court forms based on your answers. Participants will learn how to access and use these resources for matters such as:
• Starting or responding to a small claims case
• Beginning a divorce or legal separation
• Requesting a Relief from Abuse order
• Completing required financial affidavits
• Applying to waive filing fees
The workshop will include a demonstration of the tools and time for questions. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of what resources are available and how to move forward with confidence.
This program is intended for anyone seeking reliable legal reference information and a practical starting point.
Please visit our online calendar for Zoom access details if you prefer to attend remotely.
